LOUISIANA LAND ART

The beginning is always NOW.

Says, Roy T. Bennett, an inspirational author. Quite frankly, knowingly or not, inspiration is in huge demand right now, seeing how the times have changed in a matter of two blinks of an eye, and the overall psyche of the world is polarized between “gloom and doom” and overzealous optimism. Nevertheless, as they say, “it is what it is’’. We don’t mean to sound apathetic, and in fact, we’re coming from the complete opposite of thought. NOW is the time to act, to rethink our ways, to rethink our priorities, and to rethink how we spend our most valuable and nonrenewable resource - Time. Where am I going with this? Right here and right NOW.

This is our first blog and first post as a blog ever. It couldn’t have launched at a better time. For better and for worst, ya’ll will be spending more time at home, with your loved ones, enjoying your outdoor spaces and, inadvertently, on your screened devices. That in mind, we figured we would add some more value to your digital reading by providing you insights, tips and tricks on how to care for you properties, and ways to improve and maximize your landscaping, gardens, irrigation and drainage systems. We’ll provide some education and, yup - you guessed it, inspiration. We will post about how you can become a more accomplished DIYer on your outdoor and home improvement projects. We’ll have posts for the kiddos, the seniors, the foodies, the survivalists, and even for the pets. We’ll offer some great promotional deals, reveal new and improved products and services, and more convenient ways to gain access to all of the aforementioned.

We’re all adjusting and adapting, and as cliché as it may already be, we ARE in this together. We here at Louisiana Land Art are transforming what was exclusively an “outdoor” business model into a full-fledged online experience. It’s not easy, but we will make it as simple and as user-friendly as possible. We’re asking YOU to be as close to us as you can, even while Social Distancing, because we honestly need your help so that we can, in turn, help you adjust and adapt. What do we want? Your feedback. Your patience. And your understanding that this adjustment will get better and easier with time, and as we all hope, as the saying goes, that time will truly heal all things.

We can’t thank you enough for supporting us all these years, and as these tides change, we’ll be sure to support you as much as we are afforded and blessed to do so. My grandfather was a sailor and he would tell me quite often, “A rising tide lifts all boats.” Paw-paw Jean was nothing close to an economist, which is where this quote is claimed to have originated. He was a simple-minded Cajun fisherman/electrician/carpenter and Veteran sailor with the U.S. Navy. What he was telling his young grandson is, is that no one is an island and when one progresses, heals, transforms, overcomes, and succeeds….so do the rest. “It’s only natural”, he would follow. I know now, he was on to something.

We’ll be seeing you.
